Privacy policy

Last updated: 12 October 2026

anémelie is a small, family-run holiday home. We have no interest in collecting personal information for its own sake. We collect and keep only the information we reasonably need to answer enquiries, manage bookings and stays, communicate with our guests and meet our legal obligations.

We have tried to keep this Privacy Policy simple and straightforward, without unnecessary legal jargon, so that it is easy for both our guests and our family to understand.

Who is responsible for your information

anémelie is operated by Panayiota Papadopoulou under the registered business name anemelie zoe. For questions about your personal information or this Privacy Policy, contact us at hello@anemelie.com.

What information we keep

If you contact us with an enquiry, we may keep your name, email address, phone number, message and subsequent correspondence.

If you book or stay at anémelie, we may also keep information such as the lead guest’s contact details, stay dates, number of guests, booking platform, rate or price, payment information relevant to the booking, and our correspondence with you.

We normally deal with the lead guest, but may occasionally have contact details for another member of the group where needed for the stay.

If you book through a booking platform, we may receive some of this information from that platform. We do not ask for or store payment-card details.

How we use your information

We use personal information to answer enquiries, manage bookings and stays, prepare anémelie for arriving guests, communicate before, during and after a stay, collect amounts due and keep necessary records. We do this where it is needed to respond to an enquiry or provide a stay, to meet legal obligations, or for our legitimate interests in the reasonable operation of anémelie. Where we rely on legitimate interests, we do not use information in ways that override your privacy rights.

We may occasionally keep in touch with past guests with simple, non-promotional messages. You can ask us at any time not to receive these.

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.

Who sees or receives your information

We do not sell or rent personal information. We disclose it only where needed to run anémelie or where the law requires it. This may include booking platforms, website and email hosting, messaging services, banking or payment services, accounting or other professional services, and public authorities where required.

Some services may process information outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, we use services that provide appropriate safeguards.

How long we keep your information

If an enquiry does not result in a booking, we normally keep the correspondence and contact details for up to 18 months.

Other guest contact details and correspondence are normally kept for up to six years after your stay, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

Booking, payment and financial records are kept for as long as required for legal, tax and accounting purposes.

Website and cookies

The anémelie website does not set cookies. We do not use analytics or advertising tracking.

The interactive map uses an external mapping service, which may receive basic technical information such as your IP address. Our web host may also process basic technical information needed to operate and secure the website.

Your rights

You can contact us at hello@anemelie.com if you would like to know what personal information we hold about you, receive a copy, correct something that is wrong, ask us to delete information where the law allows it, or object to or restrict certain uses of your information.

If you have a concern about how your personal information is handled, we would be happy for you to contact us so that we can try to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus.
